Apex Legends on next gen consoles

We're hearing a lot of new info after the beautiful PS5 demo running on Unreal Engine 5 today with this interesting bit of info:

"Epic Games told the Post that Unreal Engine 5 won’t be widely available until 2021, with F-rtnite getting ported to the new engine after it first launches on next gen consoles in Unreal Engine 4"

… according to Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney.

Apex runs on Source, not Unreal. With all the money I've spent on Apex Legends, I'd love to see it ported over with better graphics and play it, not just emulated on next gen consoles, but optimized specifically for the next gen.

• Are you planning on getting a next gen console? Would you keep playing Apex on it?
• Do you care if it's just the same engine emulated or would you want an entirely new level of detail?
• Most importantly: Anyone have any insider info on Source, nextgen Apex Legends? It's OK, you can tell us. No, really… it's just you and me here.
