To summarise, the Zevent is a charity marathon event where streamers play for 3 days straight trying to collect donations for a chosen association.
For the context, DotA in France is overwhelmed by LoL presence, there is close to no scene (even though some try to keep it alive with notoriously the FTV League).
Ceb was recently interviewed by a famous french streamer (Domingo) and one of the guest, a streamer, knew DotA existed but never heard of Ceb or TI.
So it's kind of a surprise to have Ceb invited to this kind of event because his viewership is not composed by a lot of French.
Maybe this year I'll finally get to watch the Zevent.
Here is a recap of all the versions:
Year | Days | Association | Raised |
---|---|---|---|
2017 | 8 to 10 September | 451 851 € | |
2018 | 9 to 11 November | 1 094 731 € | |
2019 | 20 to 23 September | 3 509 878 € | |
2020 | 16 to 19 October | 5 724 377 € | |
2021 | 29 to 31 October | 10 068 177 € | |
2022 | 9 to 11 September | TBD |
