I use a AMD RX 6800 XT and can confirm with the new drivers from AMD this is still an issue.
What happens:
When landing on a planet, or entering its atmosphere Orange Sidewinder error appears. Unable to re-enter the game until issue is resolved in Odyssey, and even on Horizons.
How to fix:
Roll back drivers to last useable version 22.5.1
Can confirm that 22.5.2 as well as 22.6.1 driver versions do NOT work.
I'd like to mention that I have tried a lot to get this to work before discovering the hero on Reddit confirming this for the older 22.5.1 driver. I even deleted my first commander hoping that my next would be "unstuck". Which he was, until he tried to land on another planet.
tl;dr
If you're getting Orange Sidewinder and can't play and you use a AMD card, roll back your drivers to fix the issue.
