A use for every ship?

Hello all, I've recently been obsessed with the idea of having one of each ship available in the game and having a specific use for every one, such that none of them are made totally obsolete by any one other. For the most part this is not very difficult but there are a couple ships I'm struggling to find a use for that is not already handled better by another ship.

The Hauler – what is the point of this ship, seriously. I looked at making it a ship for just delivery missions, which would be fine, but that was also the only purpose I could find at all for the sidewinder so the builds end up looking identical which is a no go. Currently it's set up as advertised, a trade ship with the idea of using it to trade only rares, but the incredibly low capacity makes it actually worse at this than any of my other small ships with any amount of cargo at all. Is using it to trade only rares a good use? What do you all use your hauler for? I've also considered using it as a shuttle but that's what my Adder is for currently.
Diamondback Scout – ship has lots of great potential but does not fit comfortably in my fleet right now. The plan was to use it for recon missions, scan the megaship uplink type stuff. But I've also set up the Courier for similar missions on the ground, and looking at the internals the only thing that would really differentiate them is that I had room in the DBS for operations limpet controller/cargo, which I'm not sure are even needed for those types of jobs. What do you all use your DBS for?

Imperial Cutter – this one I don't actually have access to yet but it's the only ship I don't have any sort of plan for either. I initially thought it would be a good end-game trading ship, able to carry lots of cargo vast distances and also defend itself. But I already have the type-6 and 7 as medium and large trading vessels respectively, so it kind of feels redundant. I could really easily make it a piracy vessel but that's what I wanted to use the Python for.

Bonus round, how about the Imperial Clipper or Alliance Crusader? I found uses for those but they feel a tad forced (as a Space Salvage vessel and Invading-Ground-Settlements-with-your-full-squad-in-the-backseat, respectively). What do you all use your Clippers and Crusaders for?
