Alongside the other problems with the new XP system, I feel like the restriction of variety should be focused on as well.

With the old system, Endurance was the main focus of XP for a good amount of players, but there were plenty of other methods that gave considerable or comparable rates of XP. Ride the Lightning, Dungeons, hell even normal, slower missions like Rescue the Survivors or ATLAS missions gave some degree of XP that made it feel somewhat worth it. The main point is that there was at least VARIETY in how it worked if you wanted it. You could grind out Dungeons and mess around with the roguelite elements, you could do RTL as a budget Endurance with breaks in between to not have to fully commit to the time sink, you could run practically any mission and get at least 20-30k or so to give yourself some variety, maybe get some events done while you’re at it. With the new system, we’re now railroaded into this new boring system. If I want to get back to the same rates I had, I’d now have to shift my focus entirely onto prioritizing solely Wargames and Endurance, because fuck you if you wanted to play a second Dungeons mission for XP or if you wanted to do a normal defense mission that didn’t take forever, amiright? The current system is what, run a single dungeons mission, slog through 2 and a half hours of Endurance, run four wargames, (at least for me) run through 10 140PL missions, and the regular daily missions? I’m confident in my builds for endgame, but I’d really rather not have to wait through an endurance every day and deal with some obnoxious wargames preset just to get back to any sense of where I was before for XP. TBH this is just sorta ranting at this point but I just wish that you could just gain a normal amount of XP from ANY source in STW, not this quest-locked, specific gamemode-oriented mess.
