Ever since this change, I've literally never used grenades. Not only is the pull sound so loud for not only getting the grenade out but also preparing to throw it, and it takes FOREVER to do. It's so telegraphed that you don't have a weapon out and are free to just push.
Instead of changing how grenades are thrown, just make them more rare. You shouldn't be put at a disadvantage for using a tool like that. Someone's trapped themselves in a room and you have the angle and the grenade, you should win that fight. You shouldn't have to wait 5 seconds to loudly pull out the tool for the situation and then lose because it took too long to use.
Make nades a prapor level 3 buy, only have a rare barter at level 2 and make both buy and barter have like a 2-3 max buy from traders per restock. That way people can use nades, but have to use them correctly because I can't just buy 60 nades from traders. They should also remove them from the market so the only nades you can get are the ones from traders or in raid.
