Those of us who have been around for awhile, know of the gradual, significant recoil increases BSG has implemented over the years (The latest one we all know, but there were I think 3 before that)
While there were a variety of reasons behind this, PRIMARILY, this was done to combat meta-lasers
(Remember the horrendous days of when everyone ran 60 round M995 mags with zero recoil M4's? That was just before the last recoil increase [12.0?])
While the recoil increases have eased the issues somewhat, these of course have led to OTHER issues, namely that unmodded weapons become very hard to use
What needs to happen, to address this, is a total rebalance of attachments
At the end of the day, a stock weapon shouldn't handle DRASTICALLY different than a fully modded weapon
MOST Attachments should change SUBTLE aspects of a weapon's performance, not outright changing its performance entirely
Things like stocks and grips should NOT reduce recoil, or have very minimal impact on recoil changes
The BIGGEST influencer of recoil should be
1- weapon weight
2- barrel length
3- muzzle attachments
Everything else should merely adjust ergo
