So I've got about 100 hours in this game (estimating, since leaving the menu open on steam counts as hours played…) and I scraped up enough credits from platinum mining to kit out a pretty decent combat build on an Alliance Chieftain. I thought it would be cool to make it to the Sol system, so I've been grinding out missions in Federation space to rank up.
Man… these missions are bumming me out. Every time I hunt a deserter they start spamming me over coms.
"Don't listen to their lies!"
"I just wanted to live in peace…"
"I won't kill for them anymore!"
"I just wanted to do the right thing for once."
And they're all in these barely kitted out ships, most of them don't even fight back and just flail around trying to get away. So I've basically just been doing data courier and pirate hunting missions, sometimes cargo hauling in my T7.
Can't wait to start hunting Xenos. Unless the Xenos start crying then I don't know what the fuck I'm gonna do.
Anyway, yeah. Pixels on a screen give me the sad.
