Do you consider *some* mods cheating?

Is Valheim coming

Probably gonna get downvoted into oblivion for this take, but it is what it is. I am not intending to attack people who write or use mods, I am just curious if people consider SOME (not all) mods to be cheating or cheesing the game.

For instance, I would consider mods that are obvious improvements to the game such as: texture or lighting improvement mods to be a good thing, and could potentially help the dev studio improve the vanilla game. This is also true of other quality of life improvements to the game like the mods which improve chest sorting and whatnot.

However, where it gets sketchy for me are mods that: change the inventory system (i.e. the mod that adds quickslots and 5 new slots just for armor?), do away with aspects of resource management (i.e. torches that don't need fuel), adding OP weapons to the game, adding new build pieces to the game, etc. I'm not saying people shouldn't use these, or that they shouldn't exist, just that for ME… I would consider it cheating for myself to use these. There is obviously a very deliberate way the devs intented the game to be played around these key aspects; gear, resource management, and inventory management. So if I saw a mod that completely changed how those key game aspects work, I'd consider that cheating and not use it myself.

I don't use any mods personally, I am just curious where people draw the line. I know I'm asking a lot of reddit here; but let's keep it civil, this is just a discussion. Modding is fun, don't get me wrong; we all have the right to play any game how we want to play it, but modding to a point where it might as well be a completely different game is something I can't wrap my head around.
