I’m going to keep this short, but overall, I understand why the devs have given up on the game. Not as much profits (mainly), smaller team, more work etc etc, but what I can’t stand is how they treat their loyals.
Just as the new OG Fortnite season has arrived I’ve gotten madly back into the game and especially save the world after a few months of a break and now, rather than a little tab (or even at the early days of f the game where you could pick battle Royale or save the world), I have to now go into one of the worst kid-directed UIs and scroll to a favourited game mode (given as much attention as a 300 player creative experience) and then click the arrow to scroll horizontally to it even though as I mentioned it is favourited as well as being a mode I play daily.
Apart from the UI design which has already been heavily criticised, if you want a mate or if anyone in general wants to buy save the world in the current OG season it is literally impossible (not in the item shop or anything). My partner selected save the world in the UI and with me in the lobby, pressed the play button and she got directed to the PS store with a message saying something along the lines of “Can’t reach item/discontinued”.
There may be a way to still buy it but as far as I’m aware there isn’t and even if so it is still way to hard to access for hours and hours of content that was meant to be free in chapter 1.
