Escape from Tarkov’s beta

Am I the only one that feels that the game will end up in development hell? The game has been in closed "beta" state for almost 3 years now, while devs estimated an open "beta" due 2017. We are still missing out on a LARGE chunk of content and gameplay mechanics that have been confirmed since then. Where's lockpicking? UBGL's? Weapon malfunctions and advanced mechanics? Ammunition durability? Blood pressure mechanics? Auctions? AI controlled economy? (basically the stuff that's written on official store page).

The crazy part is that devs estimated the full release shortly after 2017's open "beta", 3 years later and open "beta" is nowhere in sight. Yes, the migration to new Unity version engine took a lot of time, but seeing that the game's STILL missing out on majority of "Planned™" content (mind you, stuff that has been teased multiple years ago), I just can't help myself to think that the game will be obsolete by the time it releases.

EFT is going strong because of the fundamental concept differs a lot from other shooters. It doesn't take that much for a large studio to take EFT's concept and execute it in a better way. That's all it takes. Just take a look at PUBG. Solid concept, shitty execution. Fortnite released and took the spotlight, because it was just that much better utilizing the same concept.

This game's gonna take atleast 2 more years to "release". Don't need to be a genious to figure it out. Just make inferences from the past and it all adds up. The saddest part is that the game's going be dead by the time it gets there.

Let's hope I'm wrong about this one.
