My wingman and I engaged the Thargoids for the first time. (His 2nd time). What a rush. Knocked out of hyper space immediately. Attacked by a big one and it's swarm but escaped. Our goal was to find a settlement under attack and provide planetary defense.
I fly a T10 he had the Krait MK2. I was shredding scouts and backing him up against cyclops and a medusa over a burning settlement. The atmosphere was amazing.
We learned that we can handle cyclops easy. Medusas we need to practice on or group up with a larger wing
We got through the first wave having no idea two Hydras would show up at the next objective. We had to log for the night at that point and fall back to his carrier
It was awesome. And no swarms to worry about near a planets surface
One thing I learned:. If you're using an SLF, you can't dock at a settlement to repair unless SLF is recalled. So I'm swapping the hangar for more armor.
Lost 3 ships but I had the credits. A great learning experience.
