Further proof that BSJ was biased in his cast of T1 and QC.

I'm sure we've all already seen this post by u/hammik: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/nxuoes/pls_dont_let_bsj_be_a_commentator_of_qc_and_eg/

I thought I would fact check him to prove that BSJ was incredibly biased in game 3.

Hammik claims that "in the last match, when Quinn landed a successful shackle on Abaddon . . . [BSJ] praised Quinn like he is a WR GOD." This is absolutely true. At 13:54, after Gigachad OD merely says, "nice shackle lined up as well," BSJ shows his bias by saying, "Wow." Wow, I can't believe he had the audacity to go on and on like that. Like, at some point, you just have to shut up and realize your own bias. As hammik says, "It was just a simple shackle." I concur. It truly does the audience a disservice for BSJ to "make simple plays look like a crucial TI play." I think we can all agree that "Wows" should be reserved for epic plays such as Puck's dodging Enchantress attacks using phase shift and that BSJ should be crucified for wasting everyone's time by using a one syllable word.

Hammik also claims that "just 10 min later (not sure but around min 25), WW kills WR with the only curse and kills their mid-laner by himself. [BSJ] never talked about it. All he talked about what QC did wrong." This is also 100% true. At 25:40, after T1 won the fight. BSJ says that he was wrong ("put a sock in my mouth") that it would be difficult for T1 to take the fight without PA's BKB. He says "it took a slight overextension," and that MSS was "just a tad late and got instantly burrowstriked by Karl, good reaction by him." I'm going to ignore his praise of Karl because that doesn't fit my narrative. Also, I'm going to ignore that it actually was a slight overextension because QC was fighting behind T1's mid T2 without their carry, and that one of the reasons WW even got off its ultimate is because lion missed his stun on her. Instead, I'm going to choose to believe that BSJ is only talking about QC's mistakes and certainly not admitting his own mistake in his analysis. Also, it's obvious that BSJ should have been waxing poetic about WW clicking R on WR when she was standing next to brood even though OD already called it out.

In the comments, there were some people annoyed how BSJ never talked about T1's strategy of buying time for PA. This is also true. I mean, he did say at 11:40 that even though T1 missed a bunch of spells and didn't get any kills that that T1 was okay with it because "they were perfectly content buying time for PA." But again, I'm going to ignore this because it doesn't fit my narrative.

And there were comments that BSJ never gave props to T1's strategy of playing the map well. Also true. Well, he did say 29:41: "I was skeptical, but in game 1 T1 showed how well they could stall and this game they've showed how well T1 can pick and choose their fights sooo carefully. It doesn't even feel like QC is even that far out of position but they are just getting punished so hard." But come on. That's basically nothing. And even though he's basically saying that QC aren't really making mistakes and that T1 is just outplaying them, I'm going to take it as him saying that QC is single handedly throwing this match.

All sarcasm aside, I'm sure he wasn't that great in game 2 (I had it playing in the background and wasn't paying attention). But I think he did a good job of rectifying whatever bias he had in game 2 and giving props to T1 in game 3. It was a tough game and QC had the advantage, but y'all are making it seem that it was obvious that T1 was going to win. Is BSJ supposed to ignore the advantages that QC had built up?

Also, if you're going to call out casters for their bias using specific instances, make sure you aren't remembering incorrectly and just go back and check. Otherwise you're doing your own thesis a disservice. Some of these accusations against BSJ were just absurd (not just by the OP but also by the commenters).
