I'm basing this off last year's experience, and the year before that, and the year before that, and since Valve doesn't change and Dota Reddit doesn't learn, I'm willing to bet my sweet ass that it'll take place at least 200 times.
*Someone makes a post about the battlepass being unfair*
"Omg just play more and level up"
"No you can't just level up while playing, people have done the math"
"Yes, I did the math it'll take 400 years of playing to reach the point where you can afford the Arcana"
"That's so bad, Valve can't be so greedy!"
"Valve can do what they want, besides it's a free to play game, you don't have to buy it if you don't want to"
"Wow you just love sucking Valve off, don't you?"
"No I'm just not poor"
"It's not about the money it's the fact that Valve knowingly made it unfair"
*Valve offers levels for cheaper due to feedback*
*Someone makes a post titled "We did it boys!" with a screenshot of the cheapened levels*
"It's still not fair, it's still sad that you can't get XYZ with just a level 1 battlepass"
"It's cheaper though! How do you expect Valve and prizepools to be maintained without paying?"
"Haha Valve doesn't need money"
"Small indie company LOLLL"
I'm bored of typing now, but I can't wait for the monkey convo's to start!
