Getting Ganked, CQC, and cheaters.

Long story short: some assholes decided to gank me for no reason, and destroyed me in an impossible matter (instantly killed my anaconda with hull reinforcement and good shields… THEY WERE IN A SIDEWINDER). I had enough for rebuy, but I launched from the station to try and get somewhere safe and the *same people* did the same thing, in a different system, as though they had teleported to me. No, they weren't NPCs, and I didn't have any active missions. I couldn't afford rebuy on my *brand new anaconda* at that point, so I had an emotional breakdown and couldn't return to the game for weeks. Eventually, after I was able to go back to the game, I discovered that CQC, the multiplayer "other mode" in the game, gives credits to your account in-game. So I'm now making an effort to use that to my advantage.

The bad news? There are people cheating, and at my current rate it will take around 3 years of my life in order to get those costs covered. However, that's the minimum possible amount of time. Realistically, it's going to be more like 20 years of my life. 2 whole decades in the real world. I hope that's having the appropriate impact on the people reading this. I would be doing nothing in my spare time except this for *20 years*…

So, this post serves multiple purposes.

For one: if you can't afford rebuy, CQC will work to help you. Just, be prepared for cheaters, little to no player activity, and technical issues that mostly go unchanged. As a last resort, though… it works. Slowly, but surely.

For two: This is a call to action. Please, stop "ganking". It's not "cool", it's not "funny"… It's toxic. It's bullying. And frankly, people who don't give a shit about other peoples' well being don't deserve the opportunity to do things such as this.

For three: This is a request. CQC is inactive, so it takes like 10 minutes for matchmaking to work. If people actually played this mode, then it wouldn't take so long. This would significantly cut down the amount of time I need to spend here, so… please join. It's a risk-free environment, you don't lose anything if you play it. But you can still get rewards for it, including credits in the main game.

For four: This is a cry for help. I don't know any other way of expressing my grief over this whole situation. I just want to say… please, please just try to be better people.

And finally, for five… This is informative. I'm going through with this, and I am going to spend as much time as needed on this.

I don't know if anyone will see this, or if it will be deleted for no reason before anyone knows my plight. It has happened once before, in a similar circumstance, where I simply wanted to ask people to not "gank" others. Now, though, I also want people to know that CQC is a valid way to "get out of a tough spot" if you can't afford rebuy. Though, primarily, the purpose of this post is more selfish… I just want people to be aware of my suffering. Is that too much to ask?
