Guardian materials collector/explorer build

Hi all,

First off, hello commanders! I got ED about a few weeks ago on Steam sale, and I can't get enough of the game. Its scale and complexity are unlike anything I've experienced, and I'm here for it.

Enough of that. I have a few ships at the moment, including a Vulture, Krait Mk2, FDL, DBE, and an Asp Explorer. I am currently enjoying my role as a bounty hunter in my Krait Mk2, but I am looking to get into some of the more rare, Guardian modules.

While I've done a few small jaunts in my Asp Explorer, I plan on branching out of my little home cluster. Specifically, I plan on visiting Ancient Data Terminal Sites to begin unlocking Guardian modules. I'd like to do so in style. With 229 million burning a hole in my pocket, I would like to create a dedicated explorer, complete with an SRV bay, all the mapping implements, a cargo hold, and a respectable jump range. Bonus points for not immediately disintegrating when fired upon. I've heard good things about the Krait Phantom, but, to be honest, I wouldn't know where to start when putting together the actual build. I am completely open to suggestions.

I haven't put much time into unlocking engineers, but I figure that this vessel will be helpful for doing exactly that. As of now, I have unlocked Todd, The Dweller, Farseer, and Ryder. I have invites from Olmanova, Hicks, and Ishmaak. Let me know if there are any top-priority contacts.

That pretty much covers it. I would like to create an explorer/gatherer vessel that can ferry me around the galaxy while I search for the next big upgrade. I will be puttering around bounty hunting as I prep for my expedition, so I expect to have a few million more by the time I launch. Thanks for reading the wall, and I look forward to reading your recommendations!

By the way, my in-game name is Rick's Pickle Dick. I'm in the market for friends if anybody needs a wingmate!
