Help Save a CMDR?

So, in all honesty I love this game. Exploration has been a dream, Mining is relaxing and profitable, hunting bounties and roleplaying as a gilted miner that is salty as fuck with pirates, chefs kiss. Running robigo Sothis passenger missions. Piece of cake!

I want so desperately to be involved in frontiers new push to involve the community with war against the thargoids.

…….but…. I devised a DBX that runs at 18 % heat when in full thrust and tried to explore the malstrom's

Get about 20KL from the center and get interdictions or just explode with no reason.

Make a ship for exploring, repair, and rescue on the megaships instead of doing the same old rinse and repeat of any passenger mission…… I get hyper aggroed by 2+ interceptors and scouts. the work I have done doesn't count for shit other than the occupied excape pods….. That count for less than evac missions, even after the massive amount of risk I take rescuing the pods vs just flying into a "burning" station and docking just as "normal" to have picky and demanding passengers….. Like didn't I just save you from death and because you walked on my ship instead of being picked up by a limpet on your last leg….. You can pay me more and count to the objective more……

Someone please explain to me how Frontier expects anyone to get involved in the current game play when the only thing they are rewarding is open play of CZs and the exact same game play as what we have had already….. Like why am I wasting my time with this?

I have literally set down the game and walked away since November and after 3 hrs tonight I wonder what the fuck I'm doing? Why do I care about this incursion other than "the bugs are attacking humanity!" It's nothing but the same thing we have been fed for the last 4 years with a new thargoids that is rare, runs away, an poses no threat in combat…… Why should we ingage with content that is rage, runs away from us, and poses no lore or mechanical threat against us?

Like I know at this point I sound like one of the fucks that are constantly ragging on the game and have nothing good to say about it but my focus is the new content since October 15th 2020 to current date.
I love this game but when the hell should I stop mining and shooting pirates to be involved in any of this thargoid nonsense? I've suffered more rebuys trying to do non combat shit than dealing with pirates….and there is absolutely no new game play…..

Someone explain to me how i as an unpaid overrated schmuck can drum up more interesting story in my DnD campaign than these guys can getting paid for it….. Like are the game developers that out of sync with the story tellers?
