I went to my first damaged station today I have 2k hours in the game… I got literal chills when I first entered, saw, what is supposed to be a safe spot for us commanders out in the black set ablaze with warning lights going off. Then the ATC came over the radio, the perfect inflection, hurried, but not panicked, still doing his job but with the right amount of. "Shits FUBAR commander."
Then the voice actor hits me with lines like "Glad you made it in safe commander." And "Be careful commander." and for the first time I'm sitting there like "Oh shit I'm not just a drone blowing up random shit and scraping rocks… I have legit agency and ATC bro wants me to be safe."
Seriously, you have made me feel more agency and immersion than EVERY NPC I've come across in game, you have the perfect amount of of, seriousness to you voice the acting is some of the most on point I've ever heard. I came here to grind up fed ranks but because of this little bit this TINY dialog between the ATC and me I legit want to save the people in the station, I want to make ATC bro proud, I don't want to hear him so nerved up I WANT to make the difference here.
I know that's not going to happen, that's not entirely how the game is set up. But this little bit, this event this piece of story and ATC bro's voice acting has been a drop of water in an empty desert.
So if you're out there ATC bro, you rock, Frontier, pay this man a king's ransom and get him to do some more personal VA in the game.
