I might be the only one who does, but I seriously like the knock on effects the event has had.

Here me out, this isn't about hoarding wealth and gear to obscene levels thanks to fence, but rather the effects it has had downstream. More of the meta gear is now more seriously rare, and scrolling through basic provisions and food that went for barely 10k can be upwards of now 50k. Things which were never worth selling on the flea now go at absurd prices. It makes it feel like there is a good inflection point between cash availability, price and item availability. People constantly diving into raids and churning through health, hydration, energy, bullets and equipment drives costs up by creating an artificial scarcity based on cash alone.

It's not really a suggestion, but making a thought experiment of this, I hope BSG would change it so every single item in the game has both a Barter and a Cash Cost. Make Barters unlimited and Cash Cost limited, and make money flow easy enough that the player base itself drives the more meta stuff into scarcity. In turn, you become encouraged to hunt for all the little things you need to build your meta M4 and therefore spend more time on a map and chances for PvP. That meta M4 will always be available to you, but you now need to find the right items for it. For things like ammo which is usually per bullet, new ammo packs would need to be created for all ammo in the game for effective bartering, while cash could remain per bullet; just an example.

Obviously the other side of this people selling those items on the flea anyway and people needing to buy them for their barters, buuut you're trading in the item for cash, which has much less importance and more limited usage. The Flea should, if I'm not a complete idiot, then become a place of last resort or at least barters on the flea should be more common.

Thoughts?
