I stopped smurfing because it’s boring and brings me no joy

I'm an Immortal (peaked at 6,2k now at 5,7k) who plays only pos 5, sometimes pos 4, so strictly support. I wanted to try out for the first time offlane and a bit of carry positions. Since I can not do that in Ranked (I would grief my team so hard), I tried unranked, but either someone else takes offlane/carry role or I'm playing with lvl 1 accounts so I can't really practice.

That's why I "borrowed" my little brother's Herald account with somewhat low behavior score of 5k. He played Dota a couple of years ago, but quit.

Now, before you flame me for smurfing, keep in mind that I may be an Immortal SUPPORT but as a CORE I am really bad, 1k mmr bad. I managed to climb to Guardian 5 in two weeks with heroes like Dark Seer, Sand King, Broodmother (all heroes I never played before), but to be honest I had zero fun in those games. Some of the reasons are:

– Excessive flaming: my god, had no idea how toxic low brackets are. Every mistake you get pinged, flamed, people type "report (insert hero name)" in all chat every minute, buybacks, feeding. I was literally solo carrying my team one game was 11/1 with Sand King and my 1/9 Medusa mid flamed me for not helping him defend t2 where he died.

–Lack of skills: Don't want to insult anyone, but people in low brackets are just clueless about Dota. And it's ok, really, but the problem is they are not aware of how bad they are, have no will to improve but at the same time they have an ego of TI winners. 99% of my offlane games my pos 4 don't pull, don't block small camp and they leech xp. Almost every game pos 5 rushes Midas or Aghs. Map is black, noone even wards. Carries don't buy bkb and mids are afk farming. Give them a friendly advice, they tell you to f*ck off. Most games I've won I did that despite my team, not thanks to them.

Furthermore, when I'm out of tokens, I select all roles and play pos 5. In order not to grief games additionally (since I'm already smurfing) I don't pick my best heroes like Dazzle and Treant, I don't try hard and pick meme heroes. Specifically Medusa pos 5, with Greaves/ Aghs/Shard build. I've played 10 times Medusa hard support, lost 9 games, but every single game I was flamed from start. I tried explaining to them that I'm smurfing and that I can make the hero work, but to no avail. I literally can play better support with Medusa than a real guardian support with proper pos 5 hero but they won't listen. I ward, I smoke gank, I tank ganks and even though my teammates fail due to being plain bad or tilted, the fault is always mine. I'm pretty sure if Puppey himself played hard support in this bracket, people would flame him for their failure.

And that's why I decided to stop smurfing. It is just NOT FUN. People are toxic, teammates and enemies are 99% of the time bad. Stomping bad players or carrying bad players gives me no joy. I really don't understand smurfs who stomp lower brackets with Tinkers, Meepos and Huskars. Like, how is that amusing to you?

This was my first and last time to smurf and I am truly sorry for that. I guess I just wanted to play some games as offlane/carry but I guess it's just support life for me.

TL DR – Support Immortal played Offlane/Carry in 1k bracket. Had no fun at all because people are super toxic and bad, got bored of stomping/winning so I gave up smurfing.
