I wanna thank lerio2 sincerely and hope gwent developers can let top ladder players have more votes in BC.

gerald witcher3 gwent

Part 1:

First, let me introduce myself briefly, I have been playing gwent since 2017, been afked and back several times, had climbed to top 100 in the open beta season 1, and in current season I'm ranked around 400.

I've been seeing lerio2 post insightful articles within reddit gwent community quite often and the top upvoted comment is always someone pay his gratitude to lerio2. I didn't read those articles carefully before, until yesterday I coincidently met his articles about October's ladder environment, when I was trying to find a competitive NR deck in Pro-ladder.

lerio2's article is always well formatted, easy to understand meanwhile very insightful, and he's been continously output such high quality articles for 2 years. I found his twitter contact link on his website and followed up to his twitter page, what awed me is that he has only a few hunderd followers on twitter, which means he can't get so much feedbacks by publishing his articles. I was awed because I know I can never writing so many delicate articles in such condition, I don't have enough motive and stimulus, I know he must have deep internal interest of this game. And actually this post is also inspired by his spirit, I was habited to be a reader rather than a writter.

I think people like lerio2 is a precious treasure for gwent community, he is a talented top player meanwhile also a great preacher. The deck guide function in playgwent is somehow de-facto dead, you don't know whether a deck is trustable to invest, and there are barely no people voting for the decks. For me, lerio2's deck share article is a torch in the darkness. He is a trustable top player, and his articles adds a lot to his credential.

I've played his NR deck and monster deck these two days, I got a 6-1 and 4-0 result correspondingly. It's just so dominant around 2400 fmmrs. It makes me realize that my game-playing ability is adequate, and my bottleneck is my deck creating abilities. I believe that among the top ladder players, there are not much of them who's good at deck creating, and among these people, much fewer are good at sharing their decks to other players, thus lerio2 is so special and brilliant.

I wanna sincerely thank lerio2 again, thanks for all the things you have done and what you are doing now. And lerio2, I saw you didn't play much game this season, was it because the last BC didn't introduce too much new things and didn't arouse your game-playing intereset that much?

The deck sharing articles I read from lerio2 is in below link, welcome to enjoy it:

Part 2:

Here comes my suggestion to gwent developers: I think top pro-ladder players should have more Balance-Council vote quotas than normal players. And below are my reasonings.

Since the gwent master tournament is going to cease after 2023, crown point is somehow useless then, so what are the incentives for top pro-ladder players to keep on fighting for the rank? I think more BC vote quotas is a great incentive. The better you played, the bigger influence you will have about how this game's card should changing. And this will have a stimulus for all the players to try to climb to a higher rank.

I didn't mean the top players should decide the game changing, but I think adequately give them more BC votes will give them a right to choose which trend to follow among all popular opinions.

I'll divide the BC vote players into two areas, basic area and bonus area, the basic area players consists 80% of all qualified BC voters, and bonus area take the remaining 20%, and the bonus vote distribution should follow a escalating up rule. For example, among the bonus voters, 60% of them can have 2 votes, 30% of them have 3 votes, 9.99% of them have 5 votes, the top 20 players have 10 votes, the top 3, 2, 1 player have 20, 30, 40 votes each.

This plan have a successful example: Stackoverflow.com, this programming QA site is run successfully by a user community, the users with higher points will have correspondingly managing privilege, and people can earn points by asking good questions or writting good answers. (Just like gwent players can gain more influence to the game by playing better in my plan.)
