New / returning player here (roughly 36 year break, I think) and I'm looking for a low-stress, low-combat money-making method that'll get me access to credits and better ships & equipment. The game's more complicated than I remember, I mean it's not even wireframe any more, and there's a lot more buttons to memorise.
I've been running courier-type missions so far, but the pay's not great. Scanning planets seems like a complicated way to earn cash, so I'm thinking perhaps mining somewhere without pirates might be a good option, but is there anything else out there that I should consider?
I can find YT guides to whatever method is recommended, so I wouldn't need any detailed guides here, perhaps a location to go for would help though. And should I start out by trying to gain rep with the federation / empire or whoever they are at the same time? Any suggestions gratefully received.
