Ideas for a trap-centric challenge playthrough for STW?

So my wife loves STW, specifically the process of building mazes of traps to fend off the approaching enemies from whatever objective your protecting for the mission. She could do without the rest of the combat, she loves trap building that much.

I played for a few months a couple years back so I'm familiar with the game mode, but I eventually moved on to other games. She played for a while longer after I stopped as she had made some good online friends to continue playing it with but she also stopped playing some time later.

In any case, my wife recently has gotten back into STW over the last month and the other day expressed interest at getting a new/fresh account to progress through it and learn how to build mazes of traps that are applicable to the lower-quality stuff new players would only have access to so she can better help newbies when they ask about trap stuff and base building (did I mention she loves everything related to traps in STW).

So, even though I don't have much interest in picking up the game from wherever it was I left off at, I could see myself gaining interest in some kind of 'challenge' playthrough that I could then do alongside my wife in game through us both getting 2 new accounts. I love myself a good challenge.

So, anyone have any ideas for a trap-centric challenge to progress through STW with? I'm having a hard time thinking of the parameters of what would be allowed vs not to make the challenge interesting/hard enough for me, but allow her to go trap-crazy on each mission.

While she is good at base construction and creating a labyrinth of traps effectively, she is self-admittedly slow at doing said process, so any kind of 'must build a defense from scratch and start the fight within X minutes of entering the map' wouldn't really work to well probably as she would much rather take her time designing something elaborate to the point that you can just AFK and watch the hoards of zombies perish with her labyrinth of traps than be rushed to toss something together fast.
