FDev has been quite on the console side of things, because they’re fixing the PC problems. But here’s the jist , in the earnings call, they told investors that Odyssey didn’t sell as much as they hoped. They then cut a 1/3 of of their expected earnings, which is probably/most likely the whole console player base. PC numbers coincide with this on the earnings call, plus they’re having a hard time getting it to run on old hardware which they’re aiming to do, and to no shock the last gen of consoles is within hardware range. So it’s likely that console won’t see a release, which is what happened in line with Mac users. The hardware couldn’t be supported any more, which is understandable. However, adding the ability to cross save would make this scenario suck a lot less. Like I love Elite, and I got a gaming laptop that can run it well, but I don’t feel like grinding almost 1k hours again to get to where I’m at, I just don’t have that time anymore. Having the ability for ANYONE to hop over to PC to experience the game is always a massive plus. Cross save is being used by a lot of other studios, why can’t FDev do the same?
