On my second play through and wanted to played the game a bit differently this time so trying out all the two handed weapons which I largely skipped the first time, aside from Stagbreaker.
I’m 100% converted to the Atgeir Gang, what a weapon! Unbelievably useful and tons of fun to swat away hordes of baddies.
Just built the Iron Battleaxe this evening and had the opportunity to almost immediately go mano-o-mano with an Abomination. Excellent, I thought, I’ve just made a massive axe and this geezer is literally made of wood.
Wrongo. Slow, cumbersome, doesn’t seem to hit hard. Tried again against some Draugr and Skeletons thinking it might hold up better against more conventional enemies but it seems massively underwhelming.
Am I missing something? Or is it just inferior to the atgeir and I’ve just wasted a load of iron?
