Now before the "lel git gud" crowd jump in, it's not the difficulty – this is fine, and I actually enjoyed that part. The new mobs are appropriately scary and I did get mauled several times while trying to learn their pattern and how to parry. I'm good with that. Time well spent. But….
It's the ridiculous combination of darkness and terrain. I didn't like the swamp, but you could at least see outlines and glowy eyes if nothing else. Mistlands….nothing, you're wandering around holding a lit cigarette in the air, hoping like hell you don't fall 300 feet off a mountain. Oh yeah, the terrain…it's like someone decided to go all-in on "uneven" and make it just a daft combination of stamina-jumping up vertical surfaces and then falling to your death on the other side cos you couldn't see the damn edge.
You can be standing next to a dungeon (which you need many of) and not be able to see or find the damn entrance, because your cigarette is down to a nub, and you left your matches back in the house. Which is a 15 min run that direction (over the hills and yonder) to the portal.
I'm hating it.
Am I missing something, or is this just what it is?
