My main account was around 2k mmr, i picked some unusual heroes for pos 4, won the games, but people still reported me. I received a one week overwatch ban and switched to an old account i didnt play with for years which is at guardian. I played some games and after my penalty, i started to play on my main account again. I had some very good games with 20-0 and similar results on my main account and after a week i was suddenly "banned by developer". Ok, im not one of these people who care about a gaming account, but well, gone is gone.
So i was like….hmmm, i want to play dota, but how? Either create a new account or play on the guardian one. As im interested in playing ranked and dont have time to do my "100 hours" with a new account, i switched back to the guardian one and started playing……oh boy what a freakshow! 1.000 mmr difference is like playing with total beginners, sometimes you face obvious smurfs or boosters, but most of the games are a joke. Anyway, im crushing most of them solo, even when i have to play pos 5 in ranked roles.
And suprise, surprise, people now report me for smurfing again, like they did on my main account. Ill have to play like a noob, just to prevent more reports or face a ban again. And then? Create a new account? Never ever…..and now i understand why people just buy a new account for some dollars.
So, dear developers, if you ban an account, dont ban the main, ban the smurf one. People will always find a way to continue on another account, create a new smurf and stomp games all the way up or just buy one. You force them to do that!
Working as intended, i guess…..
