i love this game, it's beautiful, it's fun. i've put over 400 hours into it.
all that said, holy fuck can the constant fighting get annoying. the most frustrating thing in the game is swinging a pickaxe. anytime i do, it's either greydwarves or drakes swarming me. (i actually think the swamp is ok, there's a nice rhythm of fight/mine/fight/mine). last time i was mining on the mountain it felt like a drake was attacking me about every 60 seconds. it doesn't add difficulty when you're past a rudimentary understanding of the game. it's just a nuisance.
i also deeply feel that anything i can kill in one hit should not be attacking me. i'm looking at you greylings.
suggestions:
maybe once you kill enough of a certain mob they become scared of you and leave you alone? it can be a high number. i'm positive i've killed over 500 greylings by the time i hit the swamp.
or if you get an item like the drake helmet, they run away from you.
really all i'm asking for is more than a minute of peace when i'm trying to mine. even every two minutes would be an improvement.
