I feel like Tarkov could greatly benefit from some more advanced movement mechanics such as vaulting and clambering. Tarkov has some of the most advanced mechanics I've seen in a game like being able to change your crouch height, blind firing around cover, and rolling on your side while aiming. I just don't understand how they missed these simple features that games as basic as COD have been doing since the 2010's, I just feel so awkward every time I have to sideways bunny hop over thigh high obstacles.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this something you'd also like to see? Supposedly some changes are coming like the ability to lay supine while prone, could vaulting and clambering also be coming in a future update?
Edit: found this in a post from 2019, so vaulting is planned at some point, so I guess I would just like to know your thoughts on it.
Yes –
Q: Will there be an ability to climb walls and other obstacles?
A: To add parkour we will have to redesign all levels and locations. But we plan to introduce vaulting over small obstacles, like fences or road rails. But I wouldn’t want to introduce climbing a man-height walls.
