My experience with the new patch

Some time has passed since the release of a new patch. I and many of my friends of different ranks played it a lot. Some of them played it day and night non-stop. Now I have a number of impressions about it, I want to share with you.

Quite a lot of time has passed since the last major patch, many players get tired of it and expected major changes. Different people expected completely different things. For example, I would really like the current map structure to be unchanged, but a lot of people are disagreeing with me.

Despite the expectations, techies has not been nerfed to the dumpster. Quite the contrary, now it is deadlier than ever and you can see it way more than many people would want to.

The new hero is a badass! My first impression of him was completely wrong. At first, I thought about him as of week generic placeholder with a somewhat clowny gimmick. But after watching a lot of replays, I can conclude that we have not seen a hero like this in a long time.

The set of skills most important for the players, especially radiant players, has changed drastically. A young and talented 7k mid-player told me yesterday, that the most important skill for him right now is to constantly check the animation of enemy attacks. If you see the flash from animation, you have 2-3 seconds to dodge the projectile.

I really wish we could abandon with a smaller penalty. Playing for the dire side sucks, I feel like I have zero impact on the game.

Economy nerfs to the dire side are huge and gamebreaking. For example, after the last minor patch, you can't buy some items on the dire base anymore. I'm trying to quit the game right now and playing airport tycoon speedrun cause of these changes. You know, I really don't enjoy airport tycoon, but it is better than being a dire offlane player.

I have not expected the minor patch with neutral camps removal, but I really like it. I hope it will buff the average radiant winrate.

I believe the rumors about Mr.Frog being retired are true. We should start calling this patch creator Mr.Crab.

And finally, the patch absolutely sucks. I've heard there were worse patches in the history of the game, but I had not played it back then.
