Hello everybody.
My nephew (12 y/o) and I have played Fortnite for five years now- half a decade.
I've always taught him to play fair and to not download any unknown software without my permission (I'm a computer technician) and warned him not to tempt to use cheats on any games and learn to play the game by the rules.
Yesterday, the 15th of December, he logged into Fortnite and saw a message saying he was banned for 24 hours due to using exploits. In addition, he was also asked to refrain from repeat offenses or he may receive a permanent ban.
As soon as that happened, he sent me a screenshot and when I got home I used Anydesk to remote control his PC, and I scanned everything in his installed drives. I was not surprised to find anything. To double-check, I used Revo Uninstaller, re-installed Fortnite and Epic Games, and told him to wait 24 hours.
Today, he noticed that in the Epic Games Library, Fortnite said it was unavailable. So, I contacted Epic via Live chat and they told me that after further investigations, they permanently banned the account due to violating their terms and that they cannot remove it.
Now, it's ridiculous to add that other than the time spent on the account- the same goes for the amount of money spent also.
Please help me do something with it, I cannot just walk by it and do nothing with it. Tag Epic employees and spread my post so they can reconsider the decision.
