To all the MO mains and deathwish experts out there, what are things that a newbie should learn about playing the deck? I main MO but for the longest time, I haven’t tried playing deathwish until recently. Been having a blast with it but I know there are things I could still be improved. Here are some things I’ve learned while playing so far:
If I don’t have Dagon, Brewess, or any way of tutoring them in my starting hand, I usually play a few cards then just get out of the round to defend against the bleed.
When against NG, I usually use Aerondight to kill an Alba Armored Cavalry they play. This is so they can’t use slave drivers to copy and play more of them. Sometimes I’ll even use heatwave if it means that they won’t have any locks to play.
Sometimes I’ll play giant toad then use a leader ability on it to immediately place it in my graveyard. I usually only do this if I need more points or if I’m afraid Arachas Queen will get heatwaved.
These are some of the things I do in my games. Honestly, I’m hoping that they give one more leader charge for overwhelming hunger. It just feels so bad to use a charge in round one and this is true when you’re in games where you kinda have to. Are there any other tips you guys can give especially when against control heavy decks?
