Obsidian Pulsar

I'm currently in canny valley and the main weapon that carried me through plankerton and partly into CV was the pulsar 9000. I took a break from the game and came back recently. When I came back, I was interested to learn about all the details about save the world that I never really looked into. I learned about obsidian and shadowshard, and that there is basically no time where you'd want to pick obsidian over shadowshard. So after looking through my weapon collection I realized something. I hadn't known about the difference between obsidian and shadowshard when I used to play and I leveled up one of my favorite weapons, the pulsar 9000, to obsidian. I don't know what to do to be honest. I had invested so much into this weapon, at least for a canny valley player. It has one gold perk and the rest are purple, which is the only weapon that I perked up to gold. I have 50 flux so i could put it in the collection book and take it out to refresh it. Opinions?
