Apparently this has been a confirmed issue since
Somehow it's even worse in VR. Now, I know Frontiers abandoned its VR-base on Odyssey, but the base game should still be supported on officially supported platforms? At least according to VR Issue Trackers:
Odyssey is still tagged with VR on Steam to this day. The tag was added
So then, how come an issue that's been confirmed for two years still persists? How is there even no option to increase the level of AA already implemented in the game?
Don't get me wrong, I love this game, but I think the support is abysmal. I know some of you will defend Frontiers to the very last detail, but you just can't convince me more aggressive AA is too hard or too complicated to implement, even though that argument is given like a pre-programmed mantra every time any issue is adressed. I get it, the COBRA game development engine. Yes, COBRA, very COBRA indeed.
Frontiers, please fix the shimmering edges. It's loooong overdue. Nevermind that I can't make out any specific details on vessels in bright starlight against the blackness of space, I literally can't see what in-game text says, because it's white, against a black background, and there's lines. Those three things go very bad together in your engine.
