Playing Scav feels so much more comfy than solo PMC running. How do I fix this?

Yeah so as title says I just always stress myself out on my PMC. It's not necessarily gear fear but that it's me vs everyone. half of my runs are loading into somewhere like Woods and creeping through the forest and randomly getting headshotted or snuck up on which feels like crap. Another example like I'm on Streets and in some small building by the entrance, I hear someone running by and I think , i'll get the jump on him. As he runs by I unload my kedr (PS ammo) at close range and he survives, turns and takes me out.

I'm level 15 or so and fairly terrible at the game. I normally just like to do cache runs for money so I have about 9mil saved up but I'm realizing that there's no point in stashing all this stuff unless i'm willing to do some actual PMC runs.

What's a good entry level start to gaining some confidence doing solo PMC play? I have the shooting range level 1 unlocked so I figured I would just start with that. I've heard people say Factory to get good at combat so I might do that. I've watched a few youtube videos with tutorials and style of play and spacial awareness, using grenades to reset fights etc but I'm struggling to apply it. Thanks for any insights.
