So, in pretty new to the game, but I recently had an experience that has made me not really want to return to the game. I'd love to know if I'm missing something or if this is the games intended design.
I started off by trading, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it, but it started to get boring so I bought a Mamba and fully kitted it out to start massacre stacking. This costed most of my money. It was going well for a while, I was killing ships left and right and having plenty of fun close calls with death, slowly getting the hang of combat. Everything was going well, except for one thing. One annoying ass pirate (named Farnbarnes or something) kept interdicting me CONSTANTLY then FSD jumping the second he was about to die. I didn't really care about it, he was a bitch but whatever.
Until tonight. We do the usual dance, he jumps me, a couple authority vessels come and help me kick his ass, then he jumps away last second. But, less then a minute later he interdicts me AGAIN. HE HAD ABOUT 10% HEALTH AND IT IMMEDIATELY COMPLETELY REPAIRED HIS SHIELDS AND HULL. WTF. He killed me instantly because I didn't have God to fully repair me. All my profit lost.
Not done yet. HAPPENS A SECOND TIME. Exact repeat. I have no way to rebuy and have to start again with sidewinder. My hours of learning combat and grinding credits gone. I don't even feel like it, probably just going to clear the hard drive space. Is this intentional? Are pirates supposed to get fully healed instantly on jumping away?
