I’ve seen a lot of talk about the queen fight, and it is exciting to me. Some have said that fighting the Queen is nothing like fighting any of the other bosses. Some have said it’s not too bad, but the swarms make it much more difficult. We have not attempted this fight yet, but we do have a strategy. No mods by the way.
My build:
1. Full magic clothing with feather cape
2. 3 eitr foods
3. Frost staff, flame staff, staff of protection, and dead raiser (element skill 30, blood skill 22)
4. Black metal sword and black metal shield
5. Major healing, major stamina, minor eitr, poison resistance, and barley wine
His build:
1. Full Carapace armor with feather cape
2. Honey chicken, hare supreme, and meat platter
3. Mistwalker and carapace shield (sword skill 100)
4. Major healing, major stamina, minor eitr, poison resistance, and barley wine
*All weapons and armor at max current allowable upgrade
The strategy:
I play from behind as a support while he fights toe-to-toe with the Queen. We start with Skeletts and everyone with a protective barrier. I focus on seekers, allowing my buddy to focus on the Queen. Each time his barrier gets destroyed, I provide a new one. If I’m unable to cast a barrier, we kite the queen until I regen enough eitr. Fighting without barriers is unacceptable. He will have a small camp built just outside the Queens dungeon with a respawn point and a second supply of our gear. As you can tell, we’ve prepared for this battle. We understand just how difficult valheim likes to be when encountering something new.
I feel like this is a good strategy, but since we haven’t fought her yet I’m still concerned. Any suggestions? I suggested he replaces a food item with a high stamina food, but he refuses bc he has not used stamina foods at any point during our play through.
