Regarding the current hype of EFT

Firstly just to make it clear:

I am so happy about the new playerbase and overall growth of EFT,

in my opinion this game deserves even more attention at all.

But its really hard for me to read trough all the current criticism of new players,

mostly on streamers who jumped into the game with the current hype.

I talk about things like:

  • "They should nerf all the guns, so you have time to react"
  • "Matching should throw you with people similar to your level"
  • "Why all this inventory management, you spend so much time organizing and then you'll die in 2 minutes!"
  • "I wont buy this, until the wipes stop – why do you even loot if everything will be resetted?"
  • "The grey colors while bad weather put me in a bad mood"
  • "Nikita doin his own stuff, ignoring our opinion"
  • "The gameplay is so slow!"

Of course there is still much potential for improvement belonging a good introduction for new players – I do not want to deny it.

But the main point I just can't understand is:

Why do people have so little frustration tolerance nowadays?

Like, everything you do needs to give you instantly a reward after 10 minutes or you'll lose the interest completely?

For me, all this makes Tarkov special and distinguishes from other games where dying means nothing and you just "miss" something.
