Reviving classic architecture?

fictional character

This is going to be a weird post for this forum, do you guys things Valheim and games like it are helping to revive interest and appreciation for classic architecture? I, and I think a lot of people like me, absolutely loved valheim not just because of the fun gameplay mechanics, but because of the amazing building. With such simple tools, you can create such beautiful structures.

I absolutely despise modern architecture; it's all concrete boxes and glass. Since the professions of architect and craftsmen split, it seems like the structures lost all their artistic beauty. They abandoned the texture, symmetry and asymmetry, and fractal depth of natural materials for artificial modules that are built in chunks and easily slapped together in a computer design program.

I think part of the phenomenon of Valheim was that it put tools in people's hands to create beautiful structures. I know I'm not the only one who haunts this reddit just to look at the amazing things people have built. I realized as I look at real houses that it's the same kind of things in valheim that I love in real life; the warmth of stone, brick, and wood structures, as opposed to sterile plastics and prefab, lifeless blocks.

Thank you Valheim, for letting us play and create, and I hope some people take the inspirations from this game and translate it into real life, gorgeous buildings.
