When VOIP first came out everybody was friendly. I would have a conversation and even team up with people. We would even fight PMCs together. Customs was actually the place to be for friendly people for once. I didn't actively seek out meeting others but it did happen.
Now every SCAV I see, when I'm a SCAV, shoots me on sight. It's like they have no regard for Fence or any sort interaction. They spawn in looking like shit and run as close as they can so they can one-tap me with a shotgun. Best case scenario they only hit me so I can at least save SCAV rep when I shoot back and kill them. Seeing as "they shot near you so it allows you to fire back with no issues" is janky at best right now. It's just seems like an easy way to abuse getting a better kit without having the need to not shoot at anyone you see.
I've played for quite a few wipes now so I remember the "old" days of kill all SCAVs to get better gear but to that might just be the better deal. Why work up your rep when you can just run up on player SCAVs and kill them instead?
