Some notes on Venge pos 1

I think it's pretty underrated given the current state of dota 2 with all these shard timings and a lot of drafts really being capable of tempoing and ending, which is something that maybe 10 years ago wouldn't have been possible, like you make one mistake on your tempo draft and the scaling comp will win…

So VS pos 1 has this really nasty timing where you are a strong enough laner multiple magic missiles is not fun for pretty much any hero including your typical lane dominators. Then you have this shard timing that really gives supports a hard time getting caught up in the bounce of a level 4 magic missile from a level 9 VS when you are level 5 it's like half your bar and that alone can make it really hard to protect your key cores.

With the right playstyle VS can kind of play like a BH (they work great in the same comp because of the track timing) and really just leave the safelane with treads and wand and go lay waste to early level cores like spec, drow, pl, sniper that need time to come online.

Then as the shard comes in it gets even worse, and it's straight into scepter where you were already impossible to deal with, now 2 lives a second bouncing stun right away if you do happen to die and turn into illusion.

If you're strong on this hero it can honestly crack the mental of the enemy team long before they are going to be thinking about out scaling you.
