Story time, so I had around 25 good matches, with a winrate of ~85%, my MMR is 2k, I went mid and safe all those games.
My team in every match I played really tried hard to win, good communication overall, even if I lost my lane later on I recovered, noone was raging or flaming, good games, almost didnt feel like Dota.
But now, Im on a 7 loss streak, every single match of those were literally unwinnable, my last game I had a PA offlane and my position 4 griefing going afk jungle, the previous 6 not that different, unwinnable from the start. I tried hard in all of those matches, pointless.
So it reminds me of something someone said to me some time ago, that the algorithm, or whatever that is, makes it so you always stay in a specific MMR range, most of the time, I didnt believe him at the time, because we all know those stories of the smurf/boosters going from 1k to 10k with a 95% winrate.
But now Im starting to think there is some thruth to if.
What are the chances of having so many very decent games, and now so many horrible games in a row?, statistically speaking is very unlikely that a distribution like that occurs.
Any thoughts?
