Did you hear that the South Korean court rejected the launch of a blockchain-based p2p game after finding that in-game NFT encourages speculation?
A local regulation that forbids companies from encouraging speculative behaviors in players through cashable rewards has led to the game rating committee in South Korea banning games that use cryptocurrencies or NFTs.
The South Korean president, according to what I've read, pledged to remove the P2E restriction during his election campaign last year. As a result, South Korean P2E game developers have released blockchain-based games abroad in the hopes that the local prohibition will be overturned.
Since these games are gaining enormous popularity and are being adopted by people more than ever before, I believe that everything will change quite soon. Through CoinFantasy, I was introduced to these games, and I have to admit that they are extremely addictive.
I think these games will have more opportunities to offer gamers as they become more well-known.
Where are you from, and what is the situation with GameFi, NFTs, and cryptocurrency there?
