Lately game devs seems to force you to play a certain way with certain rates and rules etc. Live service games I'm looking at you. Not every one had time to raid and grind all day for 5 hours a day to stay current with the season pass and FOMO. My friends have more time than me and have made it clear they are progressing with out me and they don't have time to grind silver for me to make gear (even though I lost 90 silver to a server crash)
But not valheim. I ran away with what I had on my body and even though I'm having to start from scratch and I'm back to picking up every mushroom ,killing birds, and from a pure materials side of things I'm back to the meadows I'm happy.
I'll be modding for sure. I don't want to have to run to a portal and then chop trees just to get wood to cook meat. I'm going to take the grind out of the game so I can enjoy what's here with the precious Amount of time I get. I love that I can pause the game. Something so simple should be in every game. I get people can abuse it in a live service game but my god there has to be a middle ground. And they did it. I can have my cake and join on an adventure with my buddies.
I do think however spawned items need to not be able to transfer servers or maybe the items created with it are a different colour or what not. Maybe let us know whose just spawning shitnin etc but I know last night I tuned a 2 star pug and a 1 star pig and when I was half way through and my daughter woke up , I paused and put her back to bed just to resume my game and I didn't loose it all.
Thank you devs. I seriously haven't gotten sucked into a game like this since ark.
For anyone who has beat the game or played a bit what are some mods you wished you had gotten sooner,what are some that you feel neutral about, and what is a mod you wished you didn't install. I definitely want the ones like craft from chests, instant loot drop, some easy farming ones , is there a stumps will regrow one ?
