The Smugglers boat extract is instant death if you move into the fire.

I just had what was my first great run on customs. I killed a guy for a kitted FAL, made it through a couple more fights and was finally feeling like I had done really well in a customs raid. I made my way to smugglers boat, having never used the extraction before and walked slightly too close to the fire I guess because I started dying. By time I reacted and moved out of the fire, I was dead. I understand that fire hurts but standing in a small ass campfire like that wouldn't kill someone in 1 second.

I know I'm going to get a bunch of comments saying "har har fire hot who knew" and "haha that's tarkov better luck next time" or "tarkov is just realistic, if you can't handle it, play a different game"

My biggest issue with this is that it ISN'T realistic in the slightest. I understand fire should do damage, maybe even black out your legs pretty quickly. But I was at full health, and none of my limbs were blacked. I am a USEC wearing boots and thick pants. There is no fucking way I should be dead by 'mah realism" standards.

Losing the things I gathered in that raid sucked, but losing them to something as stupid as instant fire death was way worse. It's things like this that make me think the game is trying too hard to be 'brutal and unforgiving' and not trying hard enough to be a fun game.

I love so many things about the game, but this death hurt my desire to play the game more than any other I've experienced.

Before anyone says it's because I lost good items, I only lost like 300k rubles of my own. I can make it back in a few scav runs and I have a 20m stash. It sucks losing the items, but the way I lost them is worse.
