OMG I take it back, I TAKE IT ALL BACK!!!
So, I decided, since I thought it was SUPER EASY to get all the Mats needed after watching that video, that I would do just that. DATA… EASY, no lie there. Go to Jameson crash site and get pretty much all you need, super fast. High Grade emissions…. MAN…. YESTERDAY I could find them all day, with time to spare in every one I went to (Minus, I COULD NOT get the Pharm ones from outbreak systems) So I log in today and think "Well, since getting those were easy enough yesterday, I will trade all (ALL) these 4 and 5 manufactured mats down and go get some more!" WRONG. I found 3 HGE today and one of those was like 130k Ls away with >2 mins left. FINE, I will go get the Raw mats then. I go to plot my route to the system I want to go to, and I can't even make it… my FSD wont take me that far, I need to ENGINEER IT…So I look up how much material I need to go from grade 1, to grade 5 for long range FSD at Farseer. I do a little logging to get some raw mats I can trade down for. I fly to her, I click for level one…. done…
Why cant I do level 2? Well, maybe I just gotta log of and on again, you know, to refresh it or something…
NOPE! so I look and….wait a minute. LEVEL ONE ISNT DONE YET? I HAVE TO DO LVL 1…, 2 TIMES… TO UNLOCK LEVEL 2??!?!?!?!?! Oh man, my math is now WAY OFF. Well, I have enough to upgrade my FSD for my Diamondback, and then I SHOULD have enough left over to do my Chieftain then….OH, look, I got to do the Chieftain lvl 1 2x's, again, because it is NOT that I unlock lvl 5 for the engineer, oh no… I unlock the ABILITY TO GO TO LVL 5 with her… still got to upgrade the FSD ONE STEP AT A TIME EVERY TIME!
Also, material trading…. is the math just wrong on that? or am I just REALLY bad at math on how things trade? If I trade up in the same category, say from 4 to 5… 6 grade 4 mats will make 1 grade 5 mat, but 1 grade 5 trading DOWN makes 3 grade 4 mats?
It has been almost a week since I started this journey, and I have learned so much….
I have learned that, I need to have a lid on all drinks at my computer because the force of me POUNDING MY HEAD AGAINST THE DESK causes vibrations that can spill liquid on my desk, making the head pounding less…enjoyable? I have also learned my dog does not like the sound it makes. I have also learned what every millimeter of my eye sockets feel like, as I have had to stop and rub them in frustration, like you do when trying to explain to somebody else WHY what they just said was racist… ALL I want to do, it kill the bugs that have invaded us, so I can go back to being a space trucker. I DO NOT understand why this game play is locked behind this shitty system? Maybe if the dev's were forced to make a new character after every update, they would understand why this sucks so much… What ever, I will get back to THE GRIND tomorrow.
