Fixed spawns and headsets giving the ability to hear from across the map tiny details in someone's movement means you don't know if everyone is a cheater or they're just that sweaty.
It's not fun to play when it's impossible to out manoeuvre someone, they will always know exactly where you've gone either because they cheat or because the audio in this game is too damn accurate when wearing a headset.
I bet if they removed headsets for 1 wipe, everyone would have a better experience and you would actually be able to surprise people instead of everyone having pin-point audio on you, whatever you do.
You can say "mad cos bad" or whatever but I know how to play an FPS game, in the end, it doesn't matter, it's not a fun experience when you literally can't tell if people are cheating or not when they swing around a corner from which you've made no footsteps in 5minutes and instantly take your head off and if someone "bad" is having that experience then that's a huge potential player base that's not being retained or reached.
I mean the audio is more accurate than even e-sport FPS games. That says something, like, it's too accurate maybe?
In CS I know I can move silently and out manoeuvre someone for a kill even without moving silently, I know that if I'm far enough away, they won't hear me [which in EFT is some ridiculous range], that means I don't have to rely on AIM or having the best equipment. In EFT that is IMPOSSIBLE and the meta is all wrong and I hope to see a day where EFT reaches its true potential because the gunplay is really good, probably the best of all.
