Obviously everyone is disappointed by no ship interiors, and the current fade to black disembarking is equally lame. I know modelling the entire interior of all the ships would be a lot of work, especially considering outfitting differences and allowing for a worthwhile amount of interaction. That said, they've already taken a great deal of care modelling the cockpits, which even more apparent in VR. It may not be a groundbreaking change, but I would be at least a little pleased and a little more immersed if disembarking would swivel the pilot's seat around to the back and show off some more of those beautiful cockpits. Perhaps in the future there would be a mode which turns your seat around to access some of your ship's onboard interaction, which could serve as a stepping stone to walking around the ship to perform these interactions.
Maybe it's just me but this seems like a really small and easy way to help bridge the immersion gap from being on the stick to being on foot.
