Unsure to buy!

Yo Peeps!

I get chills watching EFT, its the game which i think would keep my attention and adrenaline up throughout each raid for a looong time, which i rarely feel in ANY game nowadays. Its a great concept! Just watching others raid (for now) fills me with joy and i start shouting when someone successfully extracts. It really scares me how i would feel in the same situation I played and had my first successful run.

BUT…

The game mechanic itself is high risk high reward, but as i see the updates are going "slowly", we are pretty far from 1.0, so buying is also high risk high reward imo and i don't know why, i just feel a bad omen regarding this game

What do you guys think will emerge from this once its 1.0?
Will it reach 1.0 at all?

I feel like it will be a cash-grab and it will be abandoned after a while and will be unfinished. I honestly had a bad dream about this. I didn't buy it yet, but I SOOOOOOO want to buy it (and ofc the EOD edition which basically would the first time i spend so much on a game) but i cannot shake this feeling that we will left behind, no matter the current popularity of the game or the playerbase. The quests are challenging,diverse, but also i feel its grindy, and as I mentioned above regarding the updates, somehow just stretching things out to a point which might not come at all, namely 1.0.

I'd like your honest opinion on this as the devs seem committed and all, and of course not selling out to steam and other gaming platforms seems like a risky business and takes a lot of grande cojones but they seem to make it so far and pretty lucrative as well.
