After all these Enhanced AX weaponry CGs coming in left and right, it is ridiculous that we have to get below 500 meters for an Interceptor to scan them, thus revealing hearts. This is nearly impossible except if you're deliberately working to accomplish a scan and have a fast ship to do it.
If devs are introducing turreted/gimballed various human AX weapons to the game that relies on targeting, it should be a no-brainer to buff the existing Xeno Scanner or create an enhanced one. Hell, I can take a higher PD draw or mass, just make it work from at least 1 km of distance. To be honest, after all the AX stuff we developed, this should be an internal, built-in module that exists on every stock ship but okay, I'll take a utility module if it has to be that way.
If our ships can't target the hearts, what's the point of giving us buffed weapons? They have little use in AXCZs. Yeah, I can annihilate scouts with them but I can't do jack against Interceptors.
